    TAMPINES NORTH PRIMARY SCHOOL

Pledging to commit to Environment Education, the staff and pupils at have embarked on a recycling art project entitled "Saving Gaia - Our Journey Begins". The school has invited 5 other schools in the neighbourhood to collaborate in the collection of plastic bottles, caps and plastic bags to form a gigantic wall mural. The project spans over one and a half months. The mural basically depicts a garden blooming with flowers with fluttering butterflies. The plastic wastes were turned into flowers, trees, bushes, butterflies etc. The message : we have unknowingly generated this much plastic trash from our daily consumption of bottled drinks, shopping and marketing. To protect the Earth from such pollution in the long run, everyone has to play a part by reducing the use of plastic. To maintain a clean and green earth, everyone has a part and collectively as a whole.
